Kiara Scuro were back live in the studio together for the first time in 18 months. They ran their signature blend of chuggy acid house, wave and synth as well some spaced out trance and breaks for good measure.

In 1997 Quenum released a record on Pacific Records alongside Paulo Nascimento. Since then his career has evolved dramatically and he has established himself as an innovative, expressive musician having formulated a thirty year long career in dance and electronic music. He has released material on the likes of Soma, Rebellion, Crosstown Rebels and many more. 

However, earlier this year it was announced that he would be returning to the record label which started it all for him. Pacific Records has recently relaunched and much of the highly sought after material from the late 90's is resurfacing alongside material from friends and family. 

Quenum has attempted to recapture the sound of the label in its formative years with a new EP titled "Express Yourself". The record features dubbed out synth stabs, soft rolling percussion and wonderful deep sensibilities which will delight on the dancefloor.

Quenum: The Ransom Note Mix

The man behind our latest Ransom Note Records release, over the last few years Belfast-born producer LOR AKA Lunar Orbit Rendezvous has shown he's equally comfortable dreaming up lush, vintage electro as he is soothing ambient soundscapes. 

His 'Faith/Reason' LP, which came out in June of this year, is an ambient tapestry that traverses the boundaries of space that we find during the twilight hours — "when the world stands still for a second and we're reminded of the fragility of the lives we inhabit."

The long player followed a string of previous releases on the likes of Cin Cin, Exit Strategy and Get Physical, as well as his acclaimed eponymous debut album: the inaugural release on his own LOREC label.

For today's Monday Is OK mix, he welcomes us into a fresh week with a collection of ambient influences and discoveries, harmonically mixed for optimum bliss.

LOR: The 'Monday Is OK' Mix

From his home of Lusaka in Zambia, Wamya Tembo has been cooking up spellbinding sounds under the moniker SHE Spells Doom.

Drawing from disparate influences and styles, Wamya throws everything from Congolese Rhumba, Gqom, noughties rap and house and techno into the pot, fusing these with his love of 80s Horror and Sci-fi movies, in particular the '86 film 'Big Trouble in Little China', which he's taken inspiration from for a huge collection of his tracks.

These productions have made their way to labels like Tresor, Car Crash Set, Creaked Records and London's All Centre, the home of his most recent record: the mindmelting club-ready 'Rudnick'. He applies this rhythmic and cerebral style to his DJ sets too; the drumwork is heavy and propulsive, the sound design clean and intricate — it's sure to send your body and mind into overdrive.

SHE Spells Doom: The 'Shine A Light On' Mix

'Dreams don’t lie, reality is wrong': The manifesto for Pablo Bozzi & Kendal's INFRAVISION project is one we can get behind. Drawing inspiration from science fiction, 'Anticipations' and the disturbing era we're all living in, the Toulouse-born producers have fashioned their own distinct style that's captivated audiences from the get-go.

Their debut LP 'Illegal Future' on Fleisch was an introduction to the duo's slick, sexy, synth-driven sound: a concoction of Italo Disco, EBM, New Beat and Trance influences, brought into the present day, which they term Italo Body Music. 

Before joining forces, both had made names for themselves in their own right through their dark, fierce productions and DJ sets: Pablo Bozzi through his residency on HÖR, work with EGONlab and release for Phase Fatale's BITE, and Kendal via his Ritmo Fatale label and his releases for David Vunk's Moustache Records and Dischi Autunno, the Correspondant offshoot that Pablo has also released on.

After an unforgettable high-energy Boiler Room debut recently, we're treated to another side of INFRAVISION's tastes with this slow burner of a mix fictionally recorded in the Terminator's Tech-Noir club, Los Angeles.

On the occasion of Hard Fist 9th release Balam - "Chants of Pachamama" EP, 3hours broadcast with Argentinian talent Balam, Mexican artist Bufi and French label heads Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï.
Constructed like a tribute to latin rhythms and percussion, which are central in Balam's works, Chants of Pachamama EP is a mix of influences coming from acid house to electronica, passing by many traditional and ancestral amazonian music roots. In addition to the 4 originals, Bufi - also well-known under his other alias Theus Mago - made a dark and melodic remix which signs the first collaboration of the two latin artists.
Enjoy an alchemical concoction of percussion, acid and global sounds from Middle-Eastern, African, Asian, and European countries for the next 3 hours.
