Monaghan is a Dj, producer, podcaster, and owner of Out The Box, a multi-genre event that operates around the UK. Having produced the Reggae Roots & Bass podcast for 10 years, he has delved deep into the history of Reggae, Ska, Dub, Dancehall whilst learning the history and culture that surrounds it. Monaghan is a multi-genre DJ having played Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Snowbombing, Boomtown, Glastonbury, and many more.

Inizia a fare il dj nel 1987 come resident dell'allora glorioso CENTRAL PARK di Firenze. Nel 1989 e' resident per 5 anni di un'altro storico Club fiorentino lo YAB YUM. Nei primi anni 90 diventa dj supporter di alcuni tra i piu' importanti live acts di quegli anni (Jamiroquai_Galliano_Tricky_Portished_Young Disciples_Guru). Nel 1992 da vita alla sua prima produzione integrale di serate con l'evento alternativo del Mercoledi' sera (P.O.W.E.R.) in collaborazione con Liam J Nabb. Serata dedicata ad un suono primitivo basato su Funky Breaks e spunti Dub dove la voce non trova  quasi mai spazio, se non come elemento sonoro. Nasce l'Etno_Dub dal quale poi deriveranno successivamente il Trip Hop e la Breakbeat. A pochi anni di distanza, nel 1996, il sodalizio con Liam J Nabb produce una nuova tipologia di One Night il LIQUID. All'interno soprattutto video arte e installazioni. Il tutto in una colonna sonora totalmente libera ed espressiva che successivamente alcuni djs definiranno ECLECTIC. Grazie al LIQUID fanno il loro esordio in italia Matthew Herbert, Luke Vibert e Kemistry & Storm. Nel 1999, dopo un'illuminante esperienza di 2 anni in GB a Londra, torna a Firenze e fonda APNEA in collaborazione con Ivan Villa e diventa proprietario dello storico club EXMUD. APNEA in pochi anni riesce a portare alla ribalta la Drum 'N' Bass. In 7 anni la serata cresce all'interno della programmazione dell'EXMUD, trasformandosi e dando spazio a tutte le sfumature della DnB. Nel 2005 e' il primo Club d'Italia nel quale si suona DUBSTEP. Una miscela esplosiva di Dub_2step_Etno. Nello stesso anno decide di abbandonare la DnB per dedicarsi artisticamente in assoluto a questo suono che segue fino al 2009 grazie alla creazione di ELASTICA Recs. Dal 2010 riprende il suo lavoro di diggin e la sua grande passione per l'elettronica che lo accompagna fino a tutto il 2011. Dal 2012 decide di stabilirsi in Messico!
