Epicyon (epp-ih-SIGH-on) is a Philly based Hard Rock band founded in January of 2013. At the onset Guitarists Matt and Chris along with bassist Karl spent a few months working on tone and blending guitar styles. In late February they began a search for a lead singer and were very fortunate to have one of Philadelphia's well respected front women, Titi (formerly of "Kandela" and currently "Tungsten") agree to join the band. In April they recruited the talents of Kevin O'Beirne (currently of "East of the West") on drums to help record their first studio single "So Numb". Kevin has since agreed to become Epicyon's full time drummer.

Currently, the band is writing its first set at EddyRock Studios in Eddystone PA. Epicyon's sound is influenced by a wide range of musical genres. Their sound is hard rock that trends towards metal. All members contribute to the writing process. 

As for goals, the band plans to continue writing and recording throughout this Fall and has booked studio time to record more music.  Look for that soon with expectations of releasing it at the end of the year.  The band is eager to start playing out at their favorite Philly venues, but not until everything is just right.
