Ashley Amaris uses her voice as a weapon. It’s a voice that cuts sharp straight to the chambers of the heart. The Buffalo born rapper-songwriter is complex, intoxicating and unforgettable.

There’s no one quite like Ashley Amaris. She is an artist of her own making. “There’s no other way to stand out than just being yourself,” she says. “I write my own music. People say my voice is very unique, but if you really want to break it down, I’m just being myself.”

Born Ashley Clemons (and formerly known by her first and middle name Ashley Amaris), she’s the rare artist who will go into the studio and record six songs in one session. Tell her she can’t do it; and she’ll prove the naysayers wrong. That combination of hustle and infectious, the Hip Hop world has no choice but to love this talented and prolific female rapper -song writer.

She’s a natural born storyteller whose material comes directly from the hard knocks that life has served her. “My songwriting is all stories, you can thank Big Papa (B.I.G) for that. It’s also influenced by a lot of "Smack DVD" battle rappers like Cassidy, Reed Dollaz and a few others ."

The spirited female lyricist was raised by Native American decendent parents in Buffalo, New York. Her family supported her talent since her yearly teen age years. At 12-years-old, she started writing her own songs. “I would rip instrumentals from Myspace, YouTube, and LimeWire to make songs because I didn’t have a producer at that time.”

By age 15 because of the nagging feeling that they wanted more in life for their children than Buffalo ,New York, it prompted her parents to move to Atlanta, Georgia. Has Ashley saved up enough money her own from various nine-to-five jobs, she soon settled in North Atlanta, where she experienced various deaths within her circle of friends, disloyal friendships, and toxic relationships. A couple years later, she emerged to become more confident, strong, and running her own game and endowed with the insight to channel her emotions into songs.
