Melding sci-fi with fantasy via the form of cold, deep, menacing 140 beats - DDD UK veteran Youngsta teams up with Costa Rica’s super duo Mucky Update on their futuristic four track slap down: The Curse. 

Taking inspiration in equal parts from Stranger Things as Dungeon and Dragons, the three producers piece together a body of tracks set to send their enemies to the abyss, and beyond - showcasing phenomenal technical prowess, sound design and a complete disregard for common decency.

Washing over you like a spell of satanic sorcery - the EP is cohesive in its manipulation of your very senses, disorientating, wonky, woozy and damn right nasty. 

The beats cut through like excalibur being brandished by a futuristic knight from a hostile alternate dimension - while the low frequencies flex subs like they are black holes enveloping the rave and all in attendance.

Rooted in his Bristol upbringing and no doubt charged by the
city's ‘something in the water’ effect, Berlin-based Insomniast
distills the raw energy of the low-end underground into a hazy,
euphoric morning after on First Light EP—the fifth vision from
Delphic Iris Records.

Extending genre-twisting bass music motifs, he weaves lively
distinct 808 rhythms, rave-tinged vocal chops and stabs, and
bass grooves into a journey through night’s intensity and
daybreak’s hazy reflections.

At its peak, Chasing Streams and 1024 bang hard with a skewed
fusion of UK bass and playful ghetto tech rawness, both
punching through with chest-rattling energy.

As the night fades, First Light, Higher, and Live in Love summon
a more expressive, hazed-out euphoria, blending broken
hypnotic rhythms with warm house music sensibility—the sound
of a morning spent in the park, bluetooth speaker humming,
Lambrini flowing, mates chatting shit, and the echoes of the night
before still drifting in the background.
