Following on from previous standout Inhouse compilations on Moon Harbour comes the latest instalment, Volume 6. This time with 12 exclusive tracks presented digitally and on a 2 x 12” vinyl pack, young label associate Marco Faraone has also gone to work on fusing them all together into one magical set that will be available upon release. The compilation features music from a range of producers – some have been with the label a while, some are newer recruits, but all of them fit in with the internationally acclaimed and renowned Moon Harbour aesthetic.

London based East End Dubs is first up with the suitably dubby ‘Maze,’ a slightly creepy track that bumps and grinds with lots of moody atmosphere. Stepping up through the gears with his bulky, bass driven loops is then Andrea Oliva who first appeared on the label back in 2013, whilst Dan Drastic and label boss Matthias Tanzmann team up again for their ‘Arcade’. It’s a spooky, stripped back house roller with a breezy groove at its heart.

New recruits Chris Wood & Meat, frequent collaborators from Frankfurt, then turbo charge the compilation with their excellently urgent and energetic track ‘So Far Away’, then former Minus staple Barem serves up a rattling, kinetic track full of percussive energy that will get arms flailing on the dancefloor. Faraone goes deep with his deliciously driven ‘Mirror Coat’, featuring muttered vocals, spooky instrumentals and humid ambiance that really seeps its way into your soul.

Label regulars Luna City Express score a hit once more with the widescreen tech and spoken word consciousness of ‘Get High’, and fellow Moon Harbour staple Sven Tasnadi contributes the haunted late night house charms of ‘Special Places’. Sable Sheep is one of the label’s new generation of talents and gets all booty focussed and bouncy with his hard hitting jam ‘Pilgrim’, before the always on point Detlef then conjures up an intoxicating vibe with his feathery light, minimal house jam ‘Forenote’. Then come Paul C & Paolo Martini, who get all slinky, silky and seductive with their metallic, loopy ‘Speed Machine’ track and newest label member Cera Alba from the UK closes things down with his raw, hardcore deep house hitter ‘Voltage.’

This compilation once again proves that Moon Harbour evolves and experiments with subtle new sounds each year. What’s more, the label always stays true to their groove focussed; dancefloor aligned house sound whether they call upon experienced old stars or hot new protégés alike.

Mike Vale is back on the label with 'Just Keep Grooving EP', a brand new two-tracker that explores different shades of House from the artist's perspective. The title track 'Just Keep Grooving' represents your ideal underground Tech House jam, with its stripped groove and pumping bassline, while 'For You' is the definition of piano House, with its anthemic vibe, big vocals and emotional chords.

New York newcomers Eskuche & Nu Sky (@eskucheandnusky) have wasted no time since launching onto the scene, first releasing on New York’s legendary imprint Nervous Records and garnering support from key tastemakers world wide including; Maya Jane Coles, Marco Carola, and pivotally, Jamie Jones & Lee Foss who in 2014 signed 2 tracks from the boys to Hot Creations for the ‘Acid Jump’ EP.

Having previously remixed for VIVa LIMITED last year on Russ Yallop’s ‘Darkside EP’, the boys now make a stark return to the label with an EP comprised of 4 original tracks plus a remix from Russ (@russ-yallop) on a quid pro quo tip. 'Lidl Girl feat. Arno Joey’ is the sensational third single to be taken from Popof’s huge hitting album ‘Love Somebody’ released on Hot Creations last year. This mammoth package comes with remixes from industry heavyweights Kerri Chandler, Magda, Carl Cox and Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo.

House music legend Kerri Chandler has produced a prolific body of work since his first release in 1991. He serves a classic slice of house music with intricate percussion and solid groove, while Magda offers a stellar version where quirky beats and spacey stabs are the serve of the day.
Carl Cox is a true veteran in the industry at the top of his game with a worldwide radio show and immensely successful residency at Space in Ibiza. Masterfully he spins the original into a rolling techno beast for those peak time hours.

Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo delve deeper for their remix with penetrating atmosphere flowing across a punchy groove. The pair released their first collaboration on Visionquest last year and have since been working in the studio together on various forthcoming projects.

Nottingham’s Latmun arrives on Leftwing & Kody’s Lost Records with three energy fuelled house cuts, whilst Crosstown Rebel favourite Russ Yallop rounds out the EP on remix duties.

After an initial foray into production at the end of 2014, Latmun aka Joe Bradley’s sharp rise has garnered the attention and support of many including Lee Foss, Claptone, Darius Syrossian and Skream. The past year has seen the UK talent release on a host of distinguished labels such as VIVa (check out our premiere), El Row, Toolroom and Mar-T’s Wow! Recordings.

‘Cosmic’ kicks off the release with a selection of rumbling low end tones, stuttering vocal samples and reverberating sirens before our Debut Transmission today ‘Break it Down’ utilises engaging rhythm and evolving stabs to reveal a heady groove that’s packed full of swing. ‘Steez’ then utilises organic percussion and vocal whirrs to hold and maintain the attention of the floor, until Russ Yallop’s remix of ‘Cosmic’ reshapes the original, building on the crisp percussive elements and low-slung rhythms.
