Love is in the air! Dan Caster and Björn Störig have obviously developed a strong studio-bond recently, which explains why they are back with a full collaborative EP after their track ‘Go Down’ hit the shops in the summer. LMF015 ‘Fantasy Girl’ sees the duo present three coherent dance-floor bombs that will captivate and animate you from the get-go. 

The title-track is a low-slung deep house burner consisting of ominous synths, a melodious hook and snappy percussion, all held together by an iconic vocal that some of the house heads might be familiar with from back in the day. Things get techier on ‘Feels So Good’ as a heavy bass-line rubs shoulders with colourful rave synths and an accessible vocal hook. Last but not least, ‘Go With The Flow’ is possibly the most energetic of the EP. Here, a bouncy beat grooves beneath old-school piano stabs and an excellent party synth. Let’s hope that love affair continues!

Over the past couple of years, Kellerkind’s unique interpretation of house music has truly catapulted him out of the figurative basement and into the limelight. Whether it was the disco-infused cool of ‘Backflash’ or the tribal rhythms found on his debut-album ‘Basement Story’, through hard work, rather than by miracle, Marco Biagini matured into a producer who is at the top of his game. With ‘Music is a Miracle’ Kellerkind now delivers a sophomore album that offers itself as a diverse and surprising love letter to music, carrying his distinct handwriting. This 12“ compiles two of the album’s highligts alongside three highcalibre remixes.

’I Know’ is trademark Kellerkind, as he treats us to filtered disco breaks, colourful chords and a smooth vocal hook, while ’Music is a Miracle’ presents a different style. Here, an extremely funky garage bass-line, Chicago strings and urgent trumpets surprise us as they drop after a Moodyman-esque monologue. Mantra-alert!	

The B-side is then dedicated to the remixes of ’I Know’. While the British heavyweights Leftwing & Kody bring the heat thanks to energetic dub chords and an urgent acid bass-line on their tasteful interpretation, Oliver Koletzki surprises with a rave-tastic old-school UK hardcore mix. Lastly, Murat Kilic focuses on jacking percussion and a rolling bass-line on his grooving version.

Last year the up-and-coming duo Blond:ish dropped the 'Strange Attractions EP' on us, and we were blown away. One of the two tracks was 'Voyeur', a sweet n' deep blend of boogie the girls made featuring Thomas Gandey. It became in instant sensation and thoughts of remixes quickly spread. Now we are proud to announce we have collected the best of the best and they are ready for your player.
Alex Niggemann takes his remix to darker places, adding an acid-house touch to the bassline and dipping the percussion in an industrial sauce. A deep track worthy of heated dancefloors.
Jay Shepheard teamed up with Martin Dawson for a very groovy remix of 'Voyeur', incorporating solid percussion, thick bass and rhythmic vocal cuts. Martin died last November, a tragic loss and a reminder of how fragile we really are. Even though he is not physically with us, his work will continue to bring dancefloors to a boil.
