I did this remix for Techno Therapy records, which will be released on all platforms 20th June. I loved the strings sample from the original track so it wasn't a hard mix to work on, I just built what I thought worked best around that one part, and this is the result. Hope you like it! Ps I think there's a vinyl for the release to, but whether or not this mix features on there I don't know.

That's a very passionate and independent perspective on music! I understand your point about how people can have different interpretations of songs, sometimes due to lack of musical understanding, and sometimes perhaps to feel superior.

It's absolutely true that many people tend to follow trends and strive to be better than others, creating a competitive atmosphere.

I find it fantastic that you are so committed to your own musical vision. Doing music that you love, and maintaining your own style when remixing or creating new tracks—whether it's inspired by how you hear them or how a great DJ might do it—is the most authentic approach.

You've defined your space in Melodic Techno, and your stance is clear: "Either you like my style, or you can listen to other DJs." That's a strong statement of artistic integrity!

Since Anna's huge success with 'Where Are You Now' last october a lot has changed in her live. Brasil's first lady of techno not only tours the world and continued with more fantastic releases on Diynamic, Tronic and Turbo Recordings but also found the time to be back in the studio again for her first proper EP for Monika Kruse's label Terminal M.

Prolific duo Pig & Dan land back on Cocoon Recordings, which is familiar territory having had their debut single released on Sven Väth's imprint in 2001. Here they deliver a pair of techno ballads in their 'Reset Your Bassline' EP, which features the driving, dreamy and emotive techno cut ‘Lost Another Angel’.

Dan describes the vision behind the melodic arrangement: “It’s all about hand played synth parts, twisted melodic riffs and a hypnotic yet groovy bassline.”

The 'Reset Your Bassline' EP is out November 30.

Max Cooper is an electronic composer, multi-disciplinary artist, music label founder and former scientist who has carved out a unique space in music and visual art.

He holds a PhD in computational biology at the same time as being the first contemporary electronic musician to perform at the ancient Acropolis theatre in Athens and one of the first clutch of musicians to produce in Dolby Atmos.

Cooper has enquired for over 15 years through music, collaborations, and his label Mesh, to explore the intersections between the arts and sciences with installations, performances, immersive experiences, online media, music videos and live events.  Anchored throughout is his emotive approach, connecting how ideas and forms feel, in a manner accessible to us all. 
 
As an artist synonymous with the evolution of club culture, Cooper honed his craft as a DJ with a 10 year residency at legendary Midlands techno event Firefly where he formed a foundational relationship with Architecture Social Club, with whom he still collaborates on extravagant immersive installations.

"I want to encourage the acceptance of electronic music as an art form like any other. Bringing electronic music and abstract audio-visual projects into concert halls, museums and galleries is liberating - the art world opens up doors to communicate in ways that aren’t possible elsewhere."
  
Pivoting from computational biology to electronic music might not seem like the most natural career transition, but for Cooper the commonalities are obvious:
