The second installment of @minimood's multidisciplinary fusion series features Die Wilde Jagd (@DieWildeJagd) with an extensive rework of the neo-romantic ’Morgenrot’. The original produced by Sebastian Lee Philipp & Ralf Beck appeared on the Die Wilde Jagd's debut album in 2015 and now this has been revisited by a vast array of diverse remixes by Ancient Methods, CV313, Luigi Tozzi, Roman Flügel, Rude 66, Steve Bug, The KVB, Vactrol Park, and Variant. This gatefold 3x12" vinyl - only release is visually enhanced with intricate hand-drawn artwork including inlay by Dusseldorf based artist Susanne Giring.

Our pick for today is Rude 66 remix turning the original into a dark, primetime, anthemic built on the raw foundation of old school electro bassline.

Piconome managed to beat nearly 300 entrants to make it onto the single release.

Tune in to Far Out Radio Systems, who's antenna's may rest on Belgium soil but who's strong signals head in all directions. Station master of Far Out Radio Systems is the Genk based producer Thomas Neyens, who keeps a cinemascope view on electronic music and has previously released on the SoHaSo- label as Kiani & His Legion.

This EP shows some of his many perks. There are Holden-like modulair waves on Theme For The Lockdown, beautiful intricate Isan-esque melodies on Imagine The Sun and Sykotine Storm and a straight four-four kick on the disco driven Skies.

Opening track On Boolean Plans is something else entirely. It relives the time when amen breaks were flooding the streets of London. But Neyens brings things up to par with these pandemic times by including a beautiful melancholic string.

Far Out Radio Systems truly lives up to it's name. Strong vibes in every direction.

Max Cooper is an electronic composer, multi-disciplinary artist, music label founder and former scientist who has carved out a unique space in music and visual art.

He holds a PhD in computational biology at the same time as being the first contemporary electronic musician to perform at the ancient Acropolis theatre in Athens and one of the first clutch of musicians to produce in Dolby Atmos.

Cooper has enquired for over 15 years through music, collaborations, and his label Mesh, to explore the intersections between the arts and sciences with installations, performances, immersive experiences, online media, music videos and live events.  Anchored throughout is his emotive approach, connecting how ideas and forms feel, in a manner accessible to us all. 
 
As an artist synonymous with the evolution of club culture, Cooper honed his craft as a DJ with a 10 year residency at legendary Midlands techno event Firefly where he formed a foundational relationship with Architecture Social Club, with whom he still collaborates on extravagant immersive installations.

"I want to encourage the acceptance of electronic music as an art form like any other. Bringing electronic music and abstract audio-visual projects into concert halls, museums and galleries is liberating - the art world opens up doors to communicate in ways that aren’t possible elsewhere."
  
Pivoting from computational biology to electronic music might not seem like the most natural career transition, but for Cooper the commonalities are obvious:
 
"In both fields, you're in a sense, free. Free from the limits of living systems, free from the limits of corporeal sound. The only constraints are in your mind."
