Being a Parkinson's patient has led  to some  incredible opportunities to develop new neuro-pathways in my brain. This is my first track of my AtmosphEAR album.

This track, originally titled "Jonathan Beats" because the original session was assisted by my grandson Jonathan age 7. Featured in this track is a unique one-take solo by Jonathan. Not too bad for his first... and he got the last note on this track too... It was too cute to cut and it adds his personal last word character.

Inspired by Arizona summer thunder storms, this music represents the bringing of life vesting water to the arid desert regions of the Grand Canyon State, where rain storms are celebrated. Thunder and lightning add an extra thrill of excitement... especially the ones that are loud and close!

Inspired by a phone call with Kalissa, this song eventually led to a flight of a military refueling tanker, the KC 135 which has the same initials as Kalissa.

One of my favorite synth songs when I was a kid was Popcorn by Gershon Kingsley played on a Moog synth one note at a time. Now with computer generated instruments and a composing software there are hundreds of versions of the popular 70's song all with a little variations or complete over the top remakes. I've put together a play s\list of some of my favorites that keep a little original theme as a tribute to Gershon Kingsley's "POPCORN"

I've been intrigued with the sound of helicopter rotors with the cracking pop. When I found a sample sound in my new software, I knew it was going to be used in one of my songs. This song has been in progress over a year now and is ready to "FLY"

Living in Arizona in the middle of the Sonoran Desert is a special treat, especially for those who like the unique variety of cacti that have adapted to the arid environment. Providing self protection from hungry animal and storing ample supply of water to sustain their  growth during the hot, dry summers. As a special treat the red fruit that is produced is a favorite the animal population. The fruit can also be made into a jam that is a delicious treat, for those willing to harvest them. This song is what I hear when I see the prickly pear cacti.

Prickly Pear of the Sonoran Desert

The most majestic of all the cacti is the saguaro. It can reach up to 30 feet high and weigh over 1000 pounds from the water it stores. It bares the Arizona State flower and provides living accommodations for several species of birds in the holes made by wood-peckers. They are quite amazing plants that  are only found in the Sonoran Desert region. This song is a feeble attempt to  create a sound that depicts them... If only they could dance.

Saguaro of the Sonoran Desert

Cholla (choy-ah) also known as jumping cactus, is very similar to characteristics of Velcro. Its many tiny hook like needles look like fur but don't touch, these needles grab onto skin and continue to go deeper the more you move or try to shake shake it off. Teddy Bear Cholla, is the variety that glows in the sunrise as the light reflects through its fur-like needles.
