Obtuse Swamp's second ecosystem "Hadal Biocenosis" is the result of two years of sonic exploration by Leipzig-based artist Kontinum. Moving from conventional techno to a more bass-oriented sound, he left his comfort zone and experimented with unusual grooves and textures for this release. The EP is rounded off by two remixes from french dub expert Són du Maquís and fellow Leipzig producer Esgeem.

From the black murk of primordial swamps stepped the forebears of the first amphibians, creatures who would learn, under the steady rain of time’s hourglass, to evolve several times in the span of a single life, to breathe through their skin; permeable, changing. 

Prague’s Amphibian Records label and collective reveals Kobayashi Maru’s ‘Induction Texture’ EP. As with his recent collaboration with Silhouette, it’s a release of two halves: two original solo productions pin markers deep inside driving, psychoactive club territory; two reflections—from Abo Abo and A Strange Wedding—capture the light of the originals and cast it back, changed but familiar.

Remixing the Ambient track “Inception” into a Half Time journey, the Berlin-based DJ and producer Hypnotic Black Magic is layering intricate percussion with smooth atmospheric pads to create some spatial depth.
