Calypso

Ready is track 6 off my 2019 album, Plethora, and expresses the subject of "Pain" along with track 5. It is written about the hardships of being an artist and the sometimes crippling self-doubt many of us must overcome to pursue our craft. The lyrics are very real to me and I hope the song speaks to you too!

I have always been fascinated with classical music and arrangements. This is something I composed to show a little of that passion. This tune consists of several different guitar tracks that build melodies and harmonies and a bass track as well.

The Mellow Brick Road

LIVE CUT FROM PRACTICE: This song was written as a tribute to Chris Cornell after he took his life. Originally, the music was slower and more melancholy, but it was changed to be more upbeat. The change was to create a juxtaposition between the lyrics and the music itself to reflect the juxtaposition between deep depression and the high one experiences during a performance. 

The lyrics speak to how no matter what you try, some people can’t escape the gravity that pulls them to their own killing floor.

LIVE CUT FROM PRACTICE: The music in this song is heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin. It has a bluesy feel with a macabre message. The lyrics describe an environment and that really weigh on the soul, but then the chorus screams in denial that “Nothing’s Wrong.”

Disney - Part of Your World (Fingerstyle Guitar)

Max Eve is an experimental guitarist and songwriter from Atlanta who is best known for his 2010 album "Vertigo", an instrumental compilation that spotlights the electric guitar as the voice. Morgan Rose, drummer for Atlanta metal band Sevendust, performed drums on the track "Finding Solace" for the cd. Max has since released a few acoustic singles that delve into flamenco and jazz styles, and is currently working on a full length singer/songwriter EP to bee released in 2019.

In addition to performing at local venues, bars and events, Max is also a member of the active heavy metal band, Halcyon Way, who performs internationally and has established a well known fan base in the last decade. Max also teaches guitar and performs as a Therapeutic Musician in hospitals for much of his living.
