ON and ON the Amsterdam based artist and events agency recently launched their new musical venture ON Records with an ep from Jeff Rushin & Nicole Rosie. 001 received a wealth of warm support and today ON returns with its new release from fellow Dutch artists, Doka & SHLTR. 

For 002 ON takes a trip to the south of the Netherlands (via Amsterdam). Doka is a name on the on rise. His uncompromising, relentless productions has already seen release on Wolfksuil and Android Muziq and he a regular on the Dutch techno circuit. 

Dub techno is the first love of SHLTR and his own production style also touches on ambient and electronica. Together the pair form an impressive partnership, melding their sounds and styles in perfect harmony to create two stunning original tracks in Skarn and Sovite. 

Keeping it Dutch, ON welcome Darko Esser in his TRIPEO guise on the remix of Skarn. The Wolfskuil and Balans boss has been blazing a trail with his ltd vinyl only Tripeo series and is now taking the act on the road. Here he takes Skarn on a beautifully powerful acid-laced trip that is certain to please. 


Doka & SHLTR - Skarn EP

Following up ARC#’s excellent album is a new series of 12"s from Deep Sound Channel. DSC proudly introduces the pioneering Darko Esser, under his Tripeo moniker to set the vinyl in motion.  Tripeo gouges out chasms of bass for “Ugani.” Industrial murmurs are supplanted by earthy rhythm patterns. The ever pervasive clank of the machine is never far away, coils and circuitboards creeping over organic growth to choke and overcome. Insular dub spirals into “Opuvar.” Oscillators bend and bulge, waiting for Tripeo to inject ever more voltage. But the temperature is tapered, hi-hats bolstering intensity for a work of cerebral and contained Techno. Fit for the armchair and subterranean dancefloor, dark and deep from the hands of Tripeo.

3 hours of dark and driving tunes with an awesome energy of the crowd! Thanks to every single person who supported us! Enjoy the recording of the last 2 hours of our set we played 7-10 PM! (unfortunately we didn't have a recorder until the 2nd hour)

For the new Basement Series we have Darko Esser in his Tripeo guise. Classic techno tracks carefully crafted for use in our favorite basements and sweaty clubs. It starts of with Kuebiko, a long drawn-out cut led by a trippy arpeggiated melody matched by a deep pulsating bass. Next is Nargy, an almost completely stripped to the barebones track that draws it energy from an undulating and relentless bassline. This one just keeps on going and going and going... As closer the quirky Qwerty where crisp hi-hats and snares set the pace over a modulating ”Hoodesque” melody that floats in and out of the track.
