HOLTOUG is a grateful explorer of transformative experiences with music, sound and visuals, seeking to create uplifting modalities to soothe the body, mind and spirit with the project AYAWAKE.

As HOLTOUG he was an integral part of the Danish underground scene for more then a decade, especially loved for a string of highly successful edits.

With releases on respected labels such as Iboga, Connaisseur Recordings, and Hfn Disco, and gigs on some of the most iconic festivals all over europe HOLTOUG was well on his way as one to watch on the European up and coming scene.

Then something unexpected happened…

In 2015 he was fortunate enough to experience heavenly musical dream visions under expanded states of consciousness facilitated by deep meditation and herbal medicine which forever changed his entire world view as well as his artistic direction.

With AYAWAKE it is his hope and intention to share as much of this otherworldly
inspiration as possible, and simultaneously create a vibrant collaborative community consisting of international prominent torchbearers and innovators of world musical and spiritual tradition and forward thinking eco-conscious electronic pioneers.

May Cosmic Consciousness, Universal Love & Eternal Bliss transmute through these deliberate selections of frequencies, and aid and inspirere wherever needed for the benefit of all beings on all planes of existence.

How would you describe your approach to Social Media as an artist?
"I think it's a real shame that in the present day, you almost only gain popularity by permanently marketing yourself on social media channels. There is a constant focus on followers, likes, clicks and comments. Myself, I'm not the person who has to post everything or put everything in Instagram stories to defy the algorithm. Of course, it's up to each person to decide how to handle it."

Favorite release at the moment & of all times?
"Favorite release at the moment:
Jason Johnson (DE), Justus Reim - Anomaly (Original Mix) 
I found this track only a few days ago and was immediately impressed. One more reason to include it directly in the podcast. It's the second track of the set.
Favorite release of all time:
Dino Maggiorana - Don't Jump to Stance (Original Mix)
I have goosebumps every time I hear this track in the club, it's just a brilliant track and the last drop gets all the energy out of you."

 What’s the intention behind your set?
"I try to impress people with my sound and that we have all together a good time on the dance floor."

Hallo ihr lieben Weltenbummler,

so langsam werden die Tage aber auch die Nächte kälter und die Gesichter der Leute länger. Wir gehen rein in einen Winter voller offener Fragen und mit einem mulmigen Bauchgefühl. Der Krieg im Osten, die explodierenden Preise hier und Corona sind nur einige der Punkte hier uns hier jeden Tag beschäftigen. Wir haben zwar auf vieles keine Antworten, aber was wir mit Sicherheit sagen können, das Musik uns Lieben und Leben lässt <3
