For the 19th EP on Heimlich Musik, Cologne-based producer Dario Klein delivers
three gloomy bangers accompanied by remix contributions from JOIA, Samaha,
Daniel Jaeger, Kapoor and Matija. Inspired by the unique vibe of the streets of
Marrakech and based on live jams, the Djeema el Fna EP tells a story of music as
a concept beyond consciousness. Built around melodic lead synths and broken

drums, dark basslines contribute to the mesmerizing aesthetic of the original mi-
xes. JOIA’s interpretation of the title track puts on additional pressure with bass

frequencies going right under your skin, while Samaha transforms Djeema el Fna
into a euphoric hymn tailored for early morning hours.
With an almost criminal bassline, Daniel Jaeger’s version of Rahmos is a housey
floor killer. Kapoor’s remix sticks to the vibe of the original but adds a psychedelic
touch using hypnotic arpeggios. Rounding up a diverse set of remixes, Matjia’s
version of Rahmos is a dreamy composition with a touch of optimism garnished
by organic percussions.

The latest EP on Heimlich Musik is painting a colorful picture of downtempo ran-
ging from smooth grooves over melodic tech to cutting-edge industrial bleeps.

Back in the days it was something very special for me.
As a little 5 year revival I wanted to share with you the version I re-produced for a set at Katerblau.

Besides the typical "rainy" synth, the track got some new downtempo drums and a sitar. Hope you like the reinterpretation.

I have a talent for remembering things that are soooo not important.. really i know a lot of useless things!

Ruben Coslada fasziniert uns mit seiner neuen EP "Archipel", indem er den Wechsel der Gezeiten in ein groovig knarziges Gesamtpaket komponiert hat. Wir spüren in "Calima" dem sandigen Ostwind der kanarischen Inseln nach. Die Sicht ist leicht getrübt, das Licht rötlich gebrochen und die trockene Luft fegt über die Archipelgewässer.
Wie in einem luziden Rausch webt Dani Posadas Remix eine weitere Ebene aus knackigen Wüstenklängen in ihre Interpretation,
während Matija uns mit einem entschleunigten Remix tiefer ins mäandernde Traumland entführt.
Ebenso wie die Logik des Archipels auf die Vielfalt der verschiedenen Inseln verweist, werden die vom Meer belebten Räume in dieser EP im zweiten Track "Taoro" versinnbildlicht und in einem ständigen Fluss der genüsslichen Verlangsamung zelebriert.
Denn auch in der Philosophie stellte Gilles Deleuze über das Archipel fest: "Die Welt besteht [...] aus fließenden Beziehungen, aus Inseln und dem Dazwischen, aus beweglichen Punkten und gewundenen Linien."
