One of the true pleasures of living in a northern country is the occasional feeling of the warmth of the winter sun on your face. There's a word for this --apricity. A brief burst of apricity warms both the body and the spirit.

Completed in August 2006 in Taipei, this concerto draws its inspiration from the flowing rivers and verdant forests of Taiwan, which are directly associated with the indigenous people's surroundings. Flowing water, symbolizing movement and life, forms the primary motif of the first and third movements. The forest brings to mind wood and the marimba; thus, the marimba's resonant tones and the pizzicato strings create the primary sonic elements in these movements. The second movement is an artistic response to the beautiful voices and songs of the indigenous people, celebrating their connection to the forest and the unique beauty of their musical traditions.

Marimba Concerto No. 2, 3rd Movement

She-me-slaver is a love song that foster from paradox. The sound is quite Celtic but the use of different modes can make us talk bout medieval at the same time it maintains a feeling to gothic pop music. The rhythm is wild, the sound is dark and strong. It was recorded with a flamenco guitar and we added the bodhrán, the shekere and violins.

This is Charnia.
Charnia is the oldest extinct  organism known to man.
We still dont know if it was a plant or animal.
What we do know is that it lived alone in the bottom of the ocean in freezing temperatures and total darkness.
Charnia died .... without ever feeling the warmth of the sun.
