Techno Junkie #040 | Max Air

Max Air is an Amsterdam based techno junkie and sportswear-sneaker (Yes: Air Max) enthusiast. 
Influenced and inspired by the Amsterdam queer techno scene, Berlin, 90's house, pop and classical music, he blends driving groove techno with raw, underground techno and occasional musical memories from the past. High energy mixes, rousing percussions and a highly addictive, untamable drive. 

Max Air is resident dj at the London based FNOOB Techno Radio and at club Eagle Amsterdam. On SoundCloud he publishes his own podcast called 'Techno Junkie'. Despite playing the broad range of techno (sub)genres and tech-house, his true techno junkie heart beats for the sound of this grooving underground. Ambitious to get deeper into the scene as a dj he actively looks for new opportunities to perform, participates in dj contests and open deck events. He is also creating opportunities himself, working on a new (or rather old?) concept for techno raves together with friends. 

Max Air is a student at the DJ School Amsterdam. In 2021/2022 he completed the basic dj course (tutors: Justin Timmers and Bardo Camp (aka Nympho)). Currently, he is in the final stage of an advanced dj program (tutors: Lars Uri and Roeland Meijs). 
Apart from techno, he has a passion for classical music. At university, he played the oboe in a symphonic orchestra for several years. Despite not playing the oboe anymore, he got musical scores from Beethoven's 7th symphony tattooed on his leg.
