"Max Balateu is a Barcelona-born artist who has developed his sound within the Amsterdam music scene. He is now dedicated to exploring new textures and colours, which are embodied in releases, under his alias Kalathos, on Amsterdam-based labels Public Sex Regime and Anekumena Tapes, as well as Diffuse Reality Records. 
His sound is influenced by dub-techno and house, as well as ambience techno, and he tries to evoke timeless impressions by mixing elegant grooves with nostalgic and futuristic soundscapes"
