Tremel "The Legacy" is an American Actor, Hip-Hop Artist, Model, Philanthropist and Free Thinker. Born Dontavious Tremel Heard in Atlanta, Georgia on November 28, 1985 to Frank Harris and Sharon Heard. He is also known as "Tay" and "Legacy". With many comparisons to T.I., Tremel was also raised in the proverty stricken Bankhead community on Atlanta's westside. An abusive and troubled childhood turned him into a loner at a very early age. He soon discovered a savior thru music, which allowed him the opportunity to escape reality
His original stage name "Legacy", stemmed from his brother (O'Dawg) who awarded him the name after winning a rap battle against another Atlanta rapper. Aside from his hip-hop talents, Tremel The Legacy was also in the band while in school where he played trumpet and bass drum. 
Tremel The Legacy began his hip-hop career in 1998 at the age of 14 while spending the summer with his older brother (O'Dawg) who was also a hip-hop artist. Soon after learning to write songs, he learned to freestyle and began winning battles all over Atlanta. After graduating Mays High in 2004, he joined the United States Army. Even on base Tremel could be found engaging in battles against other soldiers, quickly gaining notoriety all over the country. In 2005, he related his first studio album self titled "Legacy". With little to no budget the album did minor numbers. In 2007 he formed 3Threat Music Group and released a follow up album entitled, "The Legacy Continues". In 2009 with the suggestion of his management, he formed Triple Threat with fellow artist "Squirt" and "T Northstar". The group was featured in several magazines and was apart of a promotional tour until cutting ties in 2011 due to management issues. 
Tremel The Legacy was featured on "Time2grind" radio show where he delivered an epic freestyle in 2013, marking his return to the underground hip-hop scene. In 2015, he joined forces with "Youth Helping Youth" helping to organize food drives for Atlanta's overwhelming homeless. He is quoted as saying, " I grew up poor, sometimes homeless. Everything I do is to help people in the same position as I to achieve something great". Tremel The Legacy is currently working on his 3rd Studio Album, 1 solo mixtape and 2 collaboration mixtapes, as well as conducting small features in several movies and 1 T.V. show.
