Three Concert Pieces is influenced by the duration of the composition set works, workshops, and competitions that many student composers and I have encountered. As the title have suggested, the work is in three movements and in each movement I have decided to corresponds to one aspect of each aspect of the durations; first movement 5’ minutes; second 2’ minutes; third 10’ minutes.

I just created a melancholy recording. Not sure what I could do with it. It has a melancholy charm to it. While I was adding notes to the sequencer I tried not to expose my ego in the playing, I think I stepped over the mark a couple of times. It's important to put many barriers in the way of your true self in art because it makes things less about us mortal beings and about something far greater. I think the 60 beats per minute tempo also adds to the melancholy charm. There is something so human about this tempo. Yet so mechanical. Does it remind us of ourselves or of our system?

Eine Handvoll Finger for 4-handed Organ is a piece featuring a bunch of major scales moving and colliding in space. Performed in the Orgelpark in Amsterdam by Ashley Wagner and William Peart. It is recommended to turn up the volume.

I am a British-Irish composer, sound artist, performer, poet, improviser, educator, researcher and technologist based between Birmingham, UK, and Northern California. My compositions include works for instruments, voices, electronic and electroacoustic mediums, sonic art, and theatre music, and my work has been presented internationally. 

My work currently focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to musical composition. I am interested in engaging with how social codes, created within various types of performance spaces, affect modes of listening, how roles of participant and viewer are performed, and using these codes, modes, and roles as a way of playing with the established status quo within the performance context.
