This week on Topshelf we have Nantwichs finest, DJ & Producer MAXIM. 
Founder of Firstcontact and having been releasing music for half a decade & mixing for just as long, MAXIM is forever adding to his powerful arsenal of weapons and has treated us to an absolute stomper for our 15th month.

With the 90’s Techno and Trance influence evident in his style of hard hitting acid beats whilst also treating us to some saucy synth baselines & some of the naughtiest drops we’ve had on the series so far.

A chaotically brilliant and beautifully dark set that never misses a beat and consistently gives you more, we’re truly blessed to have another fine Bristol resident on the series bringing all the sauce.

Dropping bombs is something that should be left to individuals with the necessary skills, and it is safe to say MAXIM has some expertise in this area. Starting his career as a producer 7 years ago, MAXIM now plays at venues up and down the country for his own Club Night @Firstcontactliverpool and other collectives. 

MAXIM’s mixing style doesn’t conform to genre which is why he supports a variety of DJ’s from @Big__Miz to @DJSpit.to, keeping groove and creating progression in his sets. 

With that being said, MAXIM’s productions are recognised for their hard groove aesthetic often leaning towards the Trance Techno Genre. MAXIM’s latest track ‘Ilusion’ was released on Colombian record label TnR Media and exceeds 150bpm. This latest release is gaining support internationally from artists such as @dwd.art, @badboombox and @fasterhorses_ , whilst also receiving radio support from @noodsradio, @tripradiolive and Quest London.

MAXIM started his career as a producer 8 years ago, MAXIM now play’s at venues up and down the country for Staple Brands such as Boiler Room, BCCO and his own club night, First Contact.

MAXIM’s mixing style doesn’t conform to genre which is why he plays alongside a variety of DJ’s such as DJ Heartstring, James Ruskin and MCR-T to name but a few, keeping groove but always and element of fun in his sets. In more recent times MAXIM has been inspired to fuse the Latin influenced dance scene into his sets, drawing from Labels Such as TraTraTrax.

With that being said, MAXIM’s productions are recognised for their groovy yet driving aesthetic, whilst often encorporating euphoric melodic tones to tie it all together. MAXIM’s productions have been getting support from around the globe even as far as Colombia with his release 'Ilusion' on TnR Records and his latest Vinyl Release on Laburnūm Records. Other artists who have supported MAXIM's music are VTSS, SPF.DJ, Dax J, Future.666 & Bailey Ibbs and more.
