Whether it was supporting Les Battersby from Coronation Street in a Lionel Richie covers band, being sandwiched between the bingo and Sticky Vicky as one of The Blues Brothers or even playing his acoustic upside down in the middle of nowhere before heading off to work all night in a car factory...Ricky’s rite of passage continues to be a colourful one!

Ricky began his musical journey when he was still at school as a bass player playing in bands in the North East and London before moving on to Spain and slowly gravitating from the shadows to the centre stage.

Years spent travelling around the North playing at endless different venues and events honed his craft and reputation as a solid performer and in March 2020 he released his debut album ‘The Right Light’ to critical acclaim, having three tracks from it played on BBC Introducing, including one track of the week for ‘Coming Up’.
