Astrohym is an indie rock band in the South East of Melbourne. Writing original music which draws on a large range of influences, Astrohym has solid roots in 90s rock grunge and branches out into variety of different genres across their repertoire. Influenced by artists/groups like Killing Heidi, Dinosaur Jr, Oasis and Say Anything, the band has worked alongside some serious local talent to create compositions that are both fun and relatable. 

Having released their first CD in 2019, "Grand Central Garage EP", you'll discover their music is all about poetic lyrics, melodic bass lines, fun guitar solos and steady rock drum beats. The guitarist of this band has benefited from direct teachings from Ella Hooper and Jesse Hooper (of Killing Heidi) for musical performance, and the vocalist is undertaking a Singing Masterclass with Christina Aguilera in early 2020. Watch this space as they continue to explore music from the best, including working alongside successful local artist (and their band manager), Kat Orgovany from Kat O Shows. 

Participating in local events to support causes like animals in need, Cancer research, women in the music industry - as well as celebrating the fandom of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Astrohym will rock the community with their passion for helping others, as well as their passion for sound.
