PLOY defies attribution to a single genre and places artistic-creative freedom in musical expression above a culture of flawless, "clean" productions.
Max Plattner draws on elements from jazz, electronic and new music, as well as rock and hip-hop, creating an emotionally charged sound that leaves plenty of room for improvisational moments. The boundaries of rhythm and harmony are consciously explored and atmospheric spaces are created.
This marks a break with the musical standards of recent years. At a time when more and more artists* are trying to conform to a certain genre or sound, Plattner's new album sets an example for artistic freedom and individuality.

Austrian jazz drummer Max Plattner is known for his melodic, expressive and dynamic playing on the drums. With PLOY he manages to interpret music in a new way and proves that interesting and innovative sound carpets can be woven far away from the usual standards.
