so here you go, "Westway" - inspired by KU's monthly Friday nights in Turnmills back in them 2000s. if you stood in the little corridor between the main room & T2 you heard the big prog & trance jocks on one side & then the deeper rough-assed techno, house & electro coming out of the other, so there's a fistful of all those flavours in this track, sounding spiky & exciting again after so much ketamine hipster-house.

and why Westway? because that was the flyover at the end of the 4 hour drive to London - you hit it & left the stop-starting suburb traffic behind you and zoomed in over the rooftops, past the Junior Boy's Own offices (launch pad for Dirty, Sugarhigh & dozens of remixes), right by our DJ agency's window & straight into the deserted financial heart of the city. dive into the hotel, lightning shower then back out & walk up the street through crowds of fucked up people, past the end of the fabriclondon queue, round the corner & down the steps into Turnmills. the sights! (the smells!) the ______________SOUNDS______________

Coming out of Spain in a haze of neon lights, electro synth pulses and eighties rock brilliance is Maxthor, a three piece with a unique and original retro futuristic sound.

Forging a broad spectrum of influences, Maxthor take irresistible echoes of eighties giants like Phil Collins, Billy Idol and Survivor and filter them through their own lens of synth driven futurist-nostalgia.
