Hat Tr!ck is an acoustic folk-rock duo from the Adelaide Hills comprising of longtime friends Max Tulysewski (Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs, Bearded Gypsy Band) and Oscar Hose (Stock Exchange, More Than Conquerors). An inevitable collaboration, Hat Tr!ck aims to blend the thick acoustic textures of indie-folk with the energy and social consciousness of punk-rock, topped off with their unique brand of witty lyricisms and boyish charm.

Max Tulysewski (Vocals & Ukulele)
Primarily a drummer, Max first picked up the sticks at age 7, played his debut professional gig at 14 and has been continuously performing ever since. He was the original drummer for folk-jazz outfit the Bearded Gypsy Band, featuring on their debut studio album released on Stobie Sounds and performing regularly at a range of venues and festivals around Australia, including the Snowy Mountains of Music Festival, the Illawarra Folk Festival and WOMADelaide 2012. As a front-man, Max also plays ukulele and sings in Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs, a uke-rock/power-pop group with a steady roster of performances around Adelaide and two EPs released through Open Grave Records. As a performer, Max brings an unforgettable energy to the stage, captivating audiences’ imagination and leaving them wanting more.

Oscar Hose (Guitar & Vocals)
Oscar began his musical journey at a very young age, trampling over his fathers instruments and banging anything that would make a sound. Oscar first picked up the bass guitar at age 7 and was performing to large audiences the next year. At 9 years of age, Oscar moved to Adelaide and quickly became involved in the music scene, being named ‘Adelaide’s Dirtiest Sax Player’ by a local publicist. By age 15, he began gigging regularly around town with local indie rockers Stock Exchange who played a number of high-profile shows including Echo Festival, Rush Festival, Imaginate Festival and a sold out show at Fowlers Live as well as having the pleasure of supporting bands Like Stonefield, Bonjah and The Kill Girls. Playing different instruments all his life and performing for the last 13 years, Oscar brings excitement and entertainment to the stage, keeping the audience on their feet.

Together these two young upstarts form Hat Tr!ck – an exciting new project blurring the lines between acoustic-folk and punk-rock.
