This week's SweetCast is dropped by Felix!

The sets from the Frankfurt-based DJ Felix move between melodic highs and dark downs. Her sound lives from densely rushing arrangements framed by hypnotic, almost dramatic elements. She is inspired by artists like Ferdinger, Kwartz and Nnamael in designing her soudscapes.
While Felix is now a resident at FFM's Freud, she never imagined reaching this step when she started learning to DJ during the pandemic. Such sweet surprises got Felix to challenge herself through a reconsideration of her approach to and involvement in music. Her club sets are driven by external influences like the mood and expectancies of the crow. But she sees her podcast performances as opportunities to show her different sides by allowing her to create more personal expressions. Her connection to techno is enriched by such moments of finding access to her own world, which tends to happen when she is in her quiet zone, outside the club environment. Her explorations in such personal spaces allow her to get a better grip on how she could initiate such personal connections between her sound and the dancefloor, providing the audience with moments of eyes-closed unity with the music.

Insgesamt sind alle Tracks sehr groovig und treibend und natürlich top produziert von Künstlern die Ahnung von gut klingendem Techno haben 😜
Der Mix fängt melodisch und detroitig an, geht dann weiter zu hypnotischen, treibenden Tracks über ravigen Acid bis zu Warehouse-Techno am Ende und alles mit einem analogen, klassischem Vibe.
Ich hab mir dabei viel Gedanken zum Aufbau und der Auswahl gemacht und viel probiert und umgestellt bis es so in meinen Augen perfekt war.
