Penelope's Thrill is a lucky accident. Lured out of musical retirement by son Andrew, Timothy Walsh dusted off his guitars, including his favorite vintage Guilds and Gretsches, and picked up where he left off 25 years ago playing in garage bands in New Jersey and Boston. 
Tim founded Penelope's Thrill as the vehicle for his new songs, often pulling in other musicians from Madison and from around the world for particular tracks. Son Andrew occasionally appears on guitar or adding vocals. Wife Barbara also appears on keyboards and backing vocals.

     ***All tracks are recorded and mixed by Timothy Walsh at Yew Tree Studios (that is, a tiny upstairs room in my house nestled amid century-old yew trees). Recent songs are recorded with Logic Pro using hardware tube preamps, compressors, etc. Earlier tracks were recorded direct to a Zoom R8 recorder.

The past, present and future of rock ‘n’ roll…and so much more: rock, funk, new wave, ‘60s garage and ‘70s stompers. The list goes on. Early Adaptors are a four-piece band based in London with guitar, bass, drums and killer tunes. Myriad influences, including the Beatles, Stones, Velvet Underground and the Clash, come together to form a melting pot of styles and a new and unique sound.

Florence Lee (b.1988) grew up in the concrete slums of central Singapore. At 7 years old, she discovered her distaste for public school chalk-dust, which later grew into an obsession with whiteboard markers, and much later still, James Iha. When she is not chatting up boys on Grindr, she hatches cunning plans against the bleak fate of bedroom singing. 

Update 2022: Has ascended the class of the petite bourgeoisie through matrimony. Although she no longer subsists on gruel, shoyu, and cilantro root, she now has little to offer the world except chronic misandry and antinatalism.
