Gloomy Day

Absolutely hooked up just  first listen to the wonderful and romantic melody composed by Elena and her sweet sweet singing, I felt a strong desire to sing something too. 
Lyric seeks to describe the most exciting experience that we can feel in life: falling in love !!!!
Yes, I know, maybe it's not very original but no one is immune from this wonderful feeling.
Nothing can match the expressiveness of Elena but I'm happy of the deep emotions that I tried working on this beautiful track!

Sax improvisation on a fantastic unforgettable piece of my idol Stevie Wonder!
My piano is very essential, compared to many covers I've heard but I built it as a function of sax solo ... and my modest knowledge of this instrument !!
His music has influenced very much my taste in music and I wanted to pay homage to him with this simple track.

Needless to say, all your advice or comments, too negative, is welcome ...

Wanted to jam today and found this grooving Jamey Abersold backing track to lay a B3 Hammond Organ solo over.  The tune is named for Jimmy Smith, the virtuoso and highly influential  jazz organ player of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, who helping create and define a sound that merged jazz and soul.  He recorded with so many of the great guitarists such as Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, George Benson and Grant Green.  

If you enjoy this great sound, look up Jimmy Smith on YouTube and find him on the old Blue Note albums too.  

And for those interested, I have just released Barcelona and I Believe, 2 CDs of my own music and a few jazz standards. SoundCloud's Dan van den Berg and Al Schulman wrote the liner notes for them. With tabla player Taryalai Hashimi, Sakhi plays music that is uniquely Afghan, yet resonates strongly with the spirit of Indian raga. A bonus DVD offers an intimate portrait of Homayun Sakhi and his musical life from Kabul, Afghanistan, to Peshawar, Pakistan, to Fremont, California. Homayun Sakhi - Kataghani (Vol 3)

Mike Gonzales on Cornet, Julian Tanaka on Clarinet, Justin Peterson on Upright Bass, Eric Schauer on Drums, performing our rendition of a Haitian Fight Song, loosely written by Charles Mingus in 1957.
"On "Haitian Fight Song", Mingus said "[...] It has a folk spirit, the kind of folk music I've always heard anyway.[...] My solo in it it's a deeply concetrated [sic?] one. I can't play it right unless I'm thinking about prejudice and persecution, and how unfair is it. There's sadness and cries in it, but also determination. And it usually ends with my feeling 'I told them! I hope somebody heard me!'"."

Haitian Fight Song

My music is very instinctive. I like all kinds 
of music even if I attend most assiduously 
 Pop, Classical and Jazz.
I compose mostly with the piano but 
I'm experimenting  with the composition
 with acoustic guitar. I enjoy playing Sax 
and Trumpet (keys) in my tracks and in 
collaboration with other soundclouders.
I write and sing in Italian lyric and I am
 improving my singing in English. I hope
 my passion for music can give
 you some nice feeling.
