The Violet Hour is the exclusive project of Panorama Bar resident Massimiliano Pagliara and Michael Greene aka Fort Romeau, for Berlin imprint Cocktail d’Amore. 
One Morning In The Future takes over the A side. A total dancefloor pleaser. Treating us with Chicago house-inspired drums and that kind of cosmic pads that make any seasoned raver jump and kiss a nearby stranger. The intensity never stops growing - with new melodic strings appearing unexpectedly, projecting the track to the rings of Saturn.
An involving italo-classic bassline characterizes Ultraviolet, together with an explosive layering of synthy melodies. The B2 Prisoner Of Love is a seductive dialogue between synthesizers and classic piano, resulting in a comforting, romantic piece of cosmic disco. These two tracks illuminate feelings of looking at a violet sky, but with different attitudes: the first pushes into the unknown looking for a happy ending, while the second is nostalgic and tender.
The Violet Hour is an evergreen example of contemporary man-machine lovemaking.

B1 - Ultraviolet

For its second release of 2018, Days Of Being Wild welcomes London duo Super Drama.
What strikes us immediately with “Affected Elegance” is Super Drama’s taste for an analog and rough production - the tracks have a “straight to tape” live feel far from the carefully computer constructed productions you tend to hear these days. There is a rough and ready attitude to their new wave and Italo tinted sound, with disco bass-lines and DX7 pads and bells melodies.
The title track could easily be an 1986 New Order b-side with its balearic pads, disco bass line and “Blue Monday” kick, while “Hausu” with its female vocals and retro drum machines sounds like a forgotten Italo instrumental mix. Black Rose follows in the same vein of twisted disco noir with its pitched down voice over a pulsing bass line. Closing the EP, we find old pal Kiwi remixing “Affected Elegance”. Kiwi keeps in with the old school electronic disco vibe but brings his own unique style of modernity taking the track to stratospheric disco heights, stripping down to its core to build it back to an emotional climax.

Following up from March's "Drømmeslottet", Lysgaard is clearly not letting new tracks rot on the shelf this year. "Bård Goes to Canada" appears to be the result of the incredible current state of the Bergen house and techno scene, which is in a whole new heyday thanks to clubs like DOT, and the long-awaited international success of Skatebård amongst others. 
Lysgaard has been impressing us with a solid string of releases since 2016's Assemble EP, which sold out on Juno in less than a day. This latest addition to his discography is no exception, despite having no major label backing. I guess literally living in the woods have its downsides. 
Skatebård himself informs us he is touring in Canada for the first time this spring, how's that for synchronicity.

Jules Etienne, formerly known as J.E.E.P. is an imaginative multi-instrumentalist. The french artist has already collaborated several times with label owner Massimiliano Pagliara - releasing music under their joined Egyptian Nipples venture - and now found his way onto the freshly forged Funnuvojere Records with the "Biscotte" EP. 

If the funky house groove of the title track and A2 "MS20 (The Answer)" stage a colourful dance party winking to Klein and MBO’s glitterballs, B1 "Pyongyang Blues" dives deep into the night with an acid throb embellished by bells and cosmic pads.
