Mayday Records was created to release the recordings of Mr. Phil Aphonic, mostly under the name of Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Phil also occasionally puts out  music under the alter-ego of frybrain, who is working on a variant of the chopped and screwed style he calls 'scraped and chewed', and most recently Amphibian Fields. Phil was also a member of the noise group Turmoil in the Toybox, and 90's space-punk band Sad Pygmy.
