A long time ago, before the Titan War, there was a group of clockwork creations known as the Cleaments, crafted by Gerson Boom. He poured his heart and soul into making them, refusing to sell even one, choosing instead to keep them as a cherished collection in his workshop. 

But everything changed after the Titan War. The Cleaments transformed into steampunk darkners, fiercely loyal to Gerson and led by the Grandfather Clock named the Great Archive. Recognizing their potential, Gerson repurposed them into machines capable of storing memories. At the war's end, he used them to erase the traumatic memories of the conflict from the minds of the Lightners, trapping those memories within each Cleament. After sealing the GREAT DARK FOUNTAIN, he tasked the Cleaments with mind-washing any Lightner they encountered, ensuring that no one would ever learn how to create a dark fountain again. Life went on for Gerson until one day he mysteriously vanished from his workshop.

When the fun gang stumbled upon a dilapidated Clockwork Tower, they met The Great Archive in it's idle state. This massive darkner housed all the smaller Cleaments, keeping the tower operational and the forbidden memories at bay. 

As the fun gang delved deeper, they uncovered the consequences of Gerson's actions. They realized that no darkner could handle the memories of a Lightner without risking their sanity, and most of these little machines were struggling to cope. The Great Archive, the only darkner capable of managing such memories, had become corrupted by an unknown force. During their exploration, Kris was attacked by a Cleament and fell victim to mind-washing. Susie and Ralsei had to confront The Great Archive to retrieve Kris's memories and consciousness. This led to a battle between Susie, Ralsei, and The Great Archive, while Kris fought against a Cleament in their mind to prevent the complete erasure of their memories.

Inspelad den 17 juli 1964 under den eviga midnattssolen vid kyrkportarna i Jukkasjärvi, är denna platta omgiven av mer myter än musik. Nordic Soul Syndicate Black Division samlade för första (och sista) gången hela sin mest experimentella sättning:

Tage Funkström – Trummor & Percussion (”ritualiska blastbeats”)

Ragnar ”Gravbas” Holmström – Bas (”tre strängar, oändligt mörker”)

Fader Knivsson – Synt & körer (”gregoriansk kaos”)

Annika V. Dahl – Saxofon (”den skrikande stormen”)

Gästsångare – Growl på svenska (namnlös, okänd, försvann efteråt)

Musiken

En apokalyptisk fusion av samba, fri jazz, black metal och avantgardistisk improvisation. Blastbeats blandas med dissonant jazzpiano, saxofonskrik skär genom luften, och Gravbas mullrande basgångar sägs ha fått kyrkklockorna i Jukkasjärvi att ringa av sig själva.

Mitt i konserten kommer den ökända 15 sekunders RAVE-slingan, en galen övergång där opera, gregoriansk sång, dödsmetal och jazz smälter samman innan bandet återvänder till fullständigt kaos.

Mytologin

Enligt rykten slog norrskenet ovanför scenen i takt med musiken.

Publiken splittrades – hälften flydde, hälften stod kvar i trance.

En präst svimmade under Satanic Samba in the Snow.

Inspelningen gjordes på en billig rullbandare, hittad i en lada 20 år senare.

Varför förbjuden?

Efter konserten beslutade både kyrkan och kommunen att inspelningen aldrig fick spelas offentligt. Men bootleg-kassetter spreds i hemlighet, och idag är The Forbidden Concert 1964 en kultklassiker i mörka musikarkiv världen över.
