“Wakeful” is the debut album by Haquin, featuring +20 collaborating musicians. Composed, refined, & meticulously crafted over 2 years, ‘Wakeful’ is a culmination of deeply personal emotions as they intertwine with the expression of collaborating artists who bring their instrumental, production or vocal expertise to the experience. The album explores the liminal states between wistful & cheerful, defeated & optimistic, focused & wandering, & isolated & connected. Sonically, the album’s genres span an eclectic yet continuous thread along organic downtempo, future garage, deep dubstep, lo-fi & jazzhop, nature-inspired ambient, IDM & world music.
