This March, Dutch drum and bass connoisseur Maztek returns to his very own label, 0101 Music, with the whopping 28-track compilation The Blacklist Rewind Catalogue.
Showcasing a mixture of releases from his formative years – dating all the way back to 2012 – and previously unheard VIPs, the new LP serves as a timely primer to the Haarlem DJ/producer’s extensive musical arsenal.
Included in the package are every single one of his past drops on revered label Renegade Hardware, including 2013’s M Theory EP, the critically acclaimed debut album Three Point Zero (2014) and a tagteam remix of “Limber” from late legend Optiv and Brazilian powerhouse BTK, all of which have proven to be fan favourites over the years. With some of these having previously been absent from streaming services and primarily available on vinyl, both die-hard followers and newcomers alike are in for a treat.
First landing exclusively via Maztek’s Bandcamp back in December, this essential collectors’ item has since been fortified with an additional three brand-new VIPs: a slinking reinterpretation of the choppy 2013 neurofunk triumph “iMaz”; a gritty, stuttering overhaul of the 2012 Subculture signing “Up & Down”; and a snarling spin on one of his best-known hits, “From the Shadows”, which features vocal contributions from local hip-hop heavyweights Dope D.O.D.
With Maztek known today not only as a musician but also as a label boss and preeminent purveyor of high-quality D&B, it’s a timely opportunity to reflect on his musical journey up to now. The Blacklist Rewind Catalogue LP lands 15th March via digital vendors and streaming services.

Melissa Thomas, also Recognized by her stage name PYRO, originates from the coastal town of Eastbourne, England. With six years of music production experience, she has started to establish her name into the Drum and Bass Scene with a distinctive flair for crafting atmospheric and dramatic DnB tracks.
 
Beyond crafting tracks in the studio, PYRO also showcases her skills as a DJ, seamlessly blending her own compositions, or not with tracks from other artists to create dynamic, dark and euphorically engaging sets, one day aspiring to get debut sets with festivals like Let It Roll, Boomtown and DnB Allstars Fest just to name a few.

PYRO's musical evolution has been shaped by a diverse array of influences (The song that made her fall in love with everything electronic 'Never Count On Me' Haywyre), ranging from the dark, gritty high-energy sounds of Kanine, Sub Focus, Andromedik and A.M.C (to name a few) to the innovative and immersive stylings of Camo & Krooked, Mefjus, Metrik, Flume and more. These artists have not only inspired her sonic palette but have also served as guiding lights in her quest to push the boundaries of her own creativity. Through countless hours spent honing her craft, PYRO has developed a signature style and sound that is both dynamic and immersive, inviting listeners on a journey through pulsating, gritty basslines, ethereal melodies, leads, and electrifying drops.

Brane’s the name, 303s are the game ;) 

Brane is a DJ who really can’t decide! He’s been building a passion for dance music for years, predominantly in the free party scene and at private events, initially mixing a lot of drum and bass before moving on to all things wild and wonderful. His primary focus is acid techno – the funkier the better – but he’s no stranger to mixing ABBA bootlegs at 11am, rinsing out heavy amens or playing a bait hardtrance set to topple the rig. A lot of his sonic influence comes from the European freetekno scene (shame he never records that stuff) which gives his sound an energetic thump, whilst it remains on the lighter side of the underground. Whatever you’re after, Brane’s probably got it – just don’t be surprised when a fat kick and sexy 303 take over and ruin your mum’s 50th.
