MBP Mayo is a singer/songwriter/rapper from Maine, USA. At the young age of 12, MBP Mayo started producing beats and learning at an alarming rate. Realizing that he has this beautiful gift to rap, MBP Mayo released his first song on SoundCloud titled “We Have Lost All Meaning” in 2018. From that point forward, he ditched the self proclaimed title of “beat maker” and took upon himself the titles of singer/songwriter/rapper/producer. He has worked with such artists as King Polo, Kill4Versa, DMAC, and many more.

Growing up in the town of Sanford, Maine, MBP Mayo was not exposed to Hip Hop music growing up. In his appearance on Matt Connarton Unleashed (95.3 WMNH), he reported listening to bands such as Stone Temple Pilots and Nirvana in his childhood. In fact, he is touted as saying that he hated Hip Hop, as he was taught that the music was about killing people and abusing women. However, after discovering the genre for himself, MBP Mayo made the realization that Hip Hop music tells stories of the human condition, and he does so gallantly. Having lived in all walks of life, MBP Mayo has acquired a unique array of experiences which are reflected in his music. #MBP4L
