A moment he paused, for my sword he now eyed

As it blows from the storm, that lends light to the black

And I freeze not from cold, but from courage I lack 
while a doorway lights up, from the lightning that cracked.

Motionless now, I stare down the door
I watch my breath rise up, with boots stuck to floor.

But suddenly then, as if sent from the war
A fire inside lit, and I strode to the door.

This was the moment, we'd lived our lives for
If I turned aside now, then our loss would be more.

Out of the darkness, and into the room
even daylight, cannot pierce thru the gloom.

To send the great King to his unearthly tomb.
