Igor Porte creates sound works, often using field recordings and mechanical elements in his compositions. Active works take the form of instruments, automated installations, and sound objects. He takes part in performances that involve collaboration and improvisation with other artists and musicians. He has developed an interest in extracting and collecting objects while walking in abandoned urban spaces, anecdotal microcosms of the city, such as abandoned factories, or in the nature that surrounds him. He searches, manipulates, listens and then activates fragments of the landscape that surrounds us, in order to perceive them differently.
