In 2004 ontmoeten Tommaso en Frank in de bollenschuur waar ze werken met James. Een man van tegen de 60 uit de Verenigde Staten die in de schuur heftruck lessen geeft aan ex-gedetineerden. James spreekt al jaren zijn kinderen en twee ex-vrouwen niet meer en heeft zijn leven is verre van op orde. Hij slaapt in een caravan naast de schuur en drinkt zichzelf in slaap. Maar de manier waarop hij erover spreekt is fascinerend. Elke herinnering en gebeurtenis uit zijn leven is een boek op zich als James vertelt. 

In 2009, welgeteld vijf jaar na hun laatste ontmoeting met de man, ziet Sir James het levenslicht.

Southern Music Records is a small independent record label and management company currently based in the south of The Netherlands. The company manages and supports independent artists and helps them with the development of their careers.  

Founded in 2013 by Brighton Institute of Modern Music graduate Arjan Pieters in Brighton (UK), the company released its first record on June 1st 2013. The company doesn’t focus on specific musical genres but focusses on collaborating with hard working artists who have a real passion for their music.

Because we’re both entrepreneurs and artists, we like to be closely involved in both the creative and business aspects that come in to play with releasing music.
