Garrett Benson’s seventh album, THE HOLY DAYDREAM is the culmination of nearly a decade of autodidactic recording and writing development. Recorded in his home studio in London and featuring collaborations with his wife and close friends, THE HOLY DAYDREAM moves Benson’s work in a neo-psychedelic direction, weaving together hallucinatory synths, folksy acoustics, and bluesy electric solos into a delicious psych-pop-rock sonic tapestry suffuse with tasty analogue warmth. Like his previous albums Naïve Soul (2020) and Some Have Gone and Some Remain (2022), Benson’s newest release continues exploring the big questions of life -  what does it mean to love, to lose friends, to search for purpose, to accept life’s disappointments with grace, to seek beauty and warmth in a cold world – through the small moments and intimate scenes of his own life. THE HOLY DAYDREAM though never feels like a writ recycling of his past work, and songs like “NO BIG DEAL” and “Out of My Mind” showcase Benson’s growing sophistication as a recording artist and maturity as a writer. With a wry and poetic writing style and a sense of musical whimsy, The Holy Daydream feels both novel and timeless, and is without doubt Benson’s most skillful release to date.

After a year of work, my first E.P is finally out. The tracks are all personal to me, and incorporate elements from natural surroundings. 

Tracks:
1. Hope and Happiness - This track is based on the stumbling blocks that we are presenting with in life, and that positivity is the way to move forward. The bad things in life can make us stronger.
2. Unconditional Love - Based on loss and grief. Whilst it hurts so greatly to loose a loved one, it helps to look back and appreciate the times that we had with them, being grateful for having them in our lives in the first place.
3. Sunrise Over Tumbling Bay - This track will bring you to Tumbling Bay in Ware, Hertfordshire. It's a ambient journey with twists and turns throughout.
4. Unconditional Love (Instrumental) - The instrumental version of Track 2.
