Basement Frequency Drift – LoFi Boom Bap Instrumental Beat

Can something be laidback and smooth...and tense and bristling with nervous energy at the same time?  

Would science even allow such an abomination to exist?  

Well, this particular mad scientist has concocted in his lab something that, obviously, man was never meant to unleash upon the world.  

Either that or it is just the latest track by Interbay.  (Occam's Razor says it is probably just Interbay.)  

Clocking in at a leisurely 100bpm, this track welds hip hop beats with glitchy and bleep synths, a choir of robots, a soulful vocal snippet from deep down in the caves, harsh metallic sounds, deeply satisfying subs together, like some sort of Frankenstein's monster, but with music instead of body parts.  

If this all seems rather spooky...yeah, it does, doesn't it?  It wasn't meant to--but maybe the lingering effects of the atmospheric river that we're drowning in, out here in the Pacific Northwest (where we've had so many wind and flood warnings that if we haven't been evacuated yet, we're learning to tune out all of the notifications.)  

Much respect to RobotChan, RobotBeej, and Reg for providing the vocals for this track.  Not that anyone can tell, of course...but I know.  :)
