Re-covering human being, sometimes folk and blues musician. 

First, not overly produced, take generally the best take for an ever-emerging archive of audio hieroglyphs that constitute my day-to-day thoughts, feelings, moods, and testaments to the love of life while troubled in mind and rambling in foot.

Play Acoustic Guitar, write my own original material, which I have recorded all my own tracks via a small recording mixer and pc software. Hope you enjoy my songs.

The Runes Project is a continuation of what began as a high school garage band called "Runesword" back in the 1980's. David Gines and Eric Sisler had big dreams in the day, but skills and equipment didn't quite match the dreams. As is sometimes the case, the two friends got caught up in life, taking different paths and eventually lost track of each other.

Fast forward 30 years and the two old friends found each other on Facebook after both had been successful tech nerds and each had maintained their love for music.  Dave continued playing in various bands over the years but Eric had only recently picked it back up after playing in a few bands in the late 80's. They decided, "Oh, what the hell!" and began writing and recording together again. Influences are an eclectic blend of 70's classic rock (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rush) to 60's and 70's singer-songwriter (Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Don McLean, John Denver), to 80's Alternative (The Cure, Billy Bragg, U2, and others) and everything in between.  We hope you have as much fun listening as we have writing and recording, although we doubt it. :-)
