McDubbin - Did Someone Say DnB?

Brian Hollister aka McDubbin started out DJ’ing in 2012 at a local weekly bass music event in Asheville, NC. With a style focused primarily on the heavier side of electronic music, he quickly joined up with the Shenanigan Society and the Asheville Drum and Bass Collective to bring his particular taste of music to the masses. Throughout the years, he has helped facilitate mysterious gatherings known as Lurches thrown by the Shenanigan Society. He also has helped and continues to help with Asheville Full Moon Gatherings and both Solstice and Equinox Festivals thrown by the T.O.U.C.H Samadhi family. 
As an aspiring sound engineer, he also can be found behind the scenes helping with production and stage management. Always the mad scientist, McDubbin also creates pyrotechnic effects and other devious toys to bring out for everyone to enjoy. 
Not sticking to any one style of music, you never really know what you are in store for but can be sure that it will fit the vibe of any show.

McDubbin has shared the stage with artists along the likes of Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Kenny Ken, DJ SS, BladeRunner, DJ Dara, Mr. Pink and Daksinamurti just to name a few.

my love of music began with my love of dancing. I usually was and still am one of the first people on the dance floor. I have been producing electronic music since 2000. Its been a sort of off and on thing as life got in the way and I would sometimes forget what was important. But I would always come back to music. In 2012 I dropped back into music hard and heavy, remembering its importance in his life. I mostly produces drum and bass but I loves and produces all types of music. I feel like My music is some what experimental and so picking a specific sub-genera would be placing it in too small of a box. This is why I just calls it drum and bass. I thinks music should be fun and computer music should sound like it was made with a computer! However, My love of dancing inspires me to create a style of music which is always changing and growing as I gets bored easily on the dance floor.
