2016 is the year of 100-th anniversary an amazing Brazilian song - Carinhoso, written by a composer and musician Pixiguinha together with the lyrics author Joao de Barro.

Carinhoso is the rare example of evergreen melodies: it was written 100 years ago, but still is loved and known not only though many generations of Brazilians, but also in hearts of many-many fans all over the world.

This year the history of Carinhoso got its unexpected continuation: Russian singer Tiris wrote Russian lyrics to the famous Brazilian hit. And, as it often happens in our life, all of a sudden and pretty rightfully Brazilian composer and pianist Mateus Cruz found Tiris on Internet. Mateus was making his international project with singers all over the world and he got really inspired by Tiris’ idea to make the bilingual track (Tiris speaks pretty good Portuguese)!

Without having met each other in real life, being 10 000 km away from each other, the two recorded this magical song.

«I am incredibly happy about this collaboration», - says Tiris. - «There’s been a very intense exhange between Russian and Brazil recently. And I’m glad that cultural relations between our countries are growing tighter as well. And I’m more than happy to make my impact to the attempt to introduce Brazilian enormous music heritage, and vice versa to let Brazilian hear the melodics of Russian language».

Find a person in a distant country, who knows and admires the music and Brazilian culture is a great and wonderful experience, I am proud of my Brazil and I'm proud to have the opportunity to make ART with Tyris singer. In our project the distance is not a problem, and the language is not a big problem ) no matter MY limitation in the language spoken and written, making music with Tyris singer has been a very good experience and a wonderful surprise to hear his art singing and talking on my Brazilian Portuguese language! In our first work we chose a song from PIXINGUINHA composer, and JOAO DE BARRO, CARINHOSO is the name of the song, Tyris surprised me with his good Portuguese, surprised me with his exellent musicianship, surprised me with the creation / modification of the original letter to the Russian language (really beautiful) I'm very happy with our work, a beautiful cultural exchange. Thank you Tyris and thanks to all the artists and technicians who participated in this dream!
There was a video made to this song. Artists of one of the best moving theatres of Russia - Alyona Ageeva Physical Theatre «PosleSlov» took part in it. The language of movement gives one more dimension of depth and beauty to the result of this international project.

«All the most interesting things in the world of art are now happening at the boarders of genres, - Tiris explains her decision to invite the PosleSlov Theatre. «And it’s great joy to me personally that Alyona Ageeva and her collective accepted my invitation to be part of the video

«I really wanted to show the beauty of Russian nature, that’s why we decided to shoot right in fields, close to the forest and a river. But exactly on the shooting day there started raining and got terribly cold. And still, the sky was on our side and we had some hours without rain. We used this chance to shoot the video and made our best. The whole production team were real heroes to me, and I am very grateful to them!»

Tiris and Mateus Cruz hope that the song will get the attention it deserves from the audience of both countries and become a hit again, on it’s 100-th anniversary!
