Metro D, born Damian Lavell Williams, is a rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer from Dallas, TX, known for his melodic, auto-tuned vocals and Future-inspired sound. His musical journey began at just 8 years old in his grandparents’ home, surrounded by the sounds of R&B and blues. Influenced by artists like Future, Lil Wayne, and Michael Jackson, Metro D developed a passion for music early on.

His uncle, 2Rs—a rapper himself—gifted him a laptop with FL Studio and guided him through making beats during his teenage years. Though he paused songwriting at 13 to focus on school, he found his way back to music through producing, joining the music collective NLYSB (Never Leave Your Squad Behind) in December 2019 alongside Brocyl, Lil Stease, DollaProductionz, Solo Beatz, Lazermade, and TB Beatz.

After graduating in 2021, Metro D returned to writing in 2023 with support from his cousin and collaborator, Tms Tystar, using BandLab to spark his next chapter. In 2024, he released four independent projects: Visions, Militia, 10TILL08, and Visions 2: Underestimated.

On February 10, 2025, he released 4Ever Tha Goat, a heartfelt EP dedicated to his late grandmother who passed away on January 30, 2025. Just a month later, he dropped his third EP, Rise II Infinity: The 1st Chapter on March 9, 2025, continuing to build his legacy. His mixtape, Anticipation, also dedicated to his late grandmother, was released on July 21, 2025.
