Passion In Constellation is the ever evolving brainchild of Chris Alan - steadily carving his own pathway through the territory of synth-pop. His most recent single, "We Want it All" is a testimony of this, eliciting high praise from the city's most influential music outlet, buffaBLOG: "we wouldn’t be surprised if Passion in Constellation was Buffalo’s next electronic export". It's an unbridled display of the artist merging his audio production skills with his strong penchant for song-writing. The result? An infectiously catchy, power house of an anthem that speaks to a generation of young individuals who want it all: fortune, sympathy, and limitless freedom.  

Alan's love affair with music began in middle school, in garages and basement shows, with his hardcore band, "The Floor is Lava". The band dismantled in high school, however, determined to forge a lifelong career in the music industry, Alan enrolled in SUNY Fredonia's prestigious sound recording technology program. While most of his peers gravitated towards indie-rock and avant-garde experimentation, Alan gained a feverish curiosity towards the genre of pop: "The more I learned about music, after getting into audio production, the more I started to appreciate pop, it's just about the most polished stuff on the earth sonically." Fast forward several years later, after being a member of four-piece outfit Pardi Gras, graduating, and accepting a job as an music composer at Fisher-Price, Alan is now fully immersed in the raw material of Passion In Constellation and witnessing the fruits of his labor as his beloved solo project attracts a rapidly widening fan base.

With further singles in the making and exuberant live performances set to be delivered, 2020 is sure to be a catapult of Passion In Constellation's boundless trajectory.

Hi! My name is Aj Sherman, I live in Long Island City, Queens and since I was a kid I’ve been obsessed with Guitars, Food TV, Hip Hop, Star Wars, The Yankees and Superheroes. While watching Emeril Live I learned to master the ice cream parfait sundaes, omelets and a bitchin’ grilled cheese. In college this latent hobby of mine would later be crystallized by the amazing work of Mr. Anthony Bourdain on shows like “No Reservations” and his book “Kitchen Confidential.” During this time I was a young stoned intellectual who made a point to admire the whole food service industry and seek a place in it.

When I was 18, I began working at a grease-ball paradise on the South Shore of Long Island during the summers as a food runner, counter help and an occasional fry guy. I took orders for chicken fingers, ran trays of discounted lobster on promo nights and dreamed of one day being a bartender on the beach. Although my fellow employees were great and the environment near perfect, college afforded me many more opportunities to taste and travel. Through bouncing around universities like Jack Kerouac, I was able to study at three amazing academic establishments on the east coast and in Israel. During my time in Israel, I played and bartended at a comedy club in downtown Jerusalem called Off the Wall. While still in college my parents sponsored a Bartending college course as a fall back and during my senior year in Albany, I worked as a full time server in a lovely Italian restaurant.

Upon graduating and with my future still up in the air, I returned back to Long Island to begin waiting tables in a very famous, very popular Belgian Mussel place in Garden City. It’s named after a traditional dish Belgian dish that rhymes with Banjo Kazooie. After only working there a few months, I realized that the professional, full time, food service lifestyle was sadly a bit to decadent for me. Shortly after realizing this I began riding a desk in midtown Manhattan for a social media platform as an event planner. Afforded with the great cornucopia of venues that is New York City, I began researching and documenting my eating experiences all over town for work and pleasure. Now through an amazing twist of career opportunity, I travel quite frequently and work from home. In my spare time I eat, write things, take pictures of inspiring art or food and will geek out over pretty much anything. In closing – I like food and music, I always liked music and food, I worked in food for a bit and now I get to eat and take pictures of my food for fun.
