Welcome to the 24th session of Blocaus podcast.

Sylvain Peltier aka Zadig has been part of the rave scene since the '90s and has since 2010 had releases on many famous labels such as Tresor, Deeply Rooted, Chronicle, Syncrophone to name few. Since then he has created his own record label Construct Re-Form, which first was meant as a platform for his own publications, but which now also releases artists such as Antigone, Voiski and Birth of Frequency. Also an amazing DJ, he’s clearly one the best French artist so far. Enjoy!

Live recording of one hell of a party at Wrocław's Barbarka, closing of the outdoor season. The atmosphere was already basement-ish, and the set is rather strong by my standards. Much different music than the latest uploads. 

But it's still all me, just on fire (as pictured). The techno is slow, filled with melody and mixed with tech-house.

For different reasons it was quite an important night in my life, so this one is gonna be bringing back some strong emotions. I hope it evokes some of them in you as well.

After getting off to a strong start last year following the creation of Voight-Kampff, Whitley and his collective have been causing a ruckus around Scotland and have found themselves heavily involved with Jaded, most recently throwing their first 2 room take over. Whitley himself takes most of his inspiration from the old school, percussive drum driven techno sound coming from labels like Downwards and Tresor - as well as holding and taking a huge amount of interest in more recent Scandinavian techno and electronic music as a whole, namely from the Copenhagen techno scene.

Benjamin erzählte das er sich an den Tag der Entstehung des Bildes noch gut erinnern kann. 
In klirrender Kälte liefen sie zu dritt über das Gelände auf der Suche nach dem richtigen Blickwinkel, der richtigen Einstellung und versteckten Details.  
Kurz nach einer Pyroaction drückte Benjamin den Auslöser. 
Der Effekt der durch den Nebel und die kleinen runden Lüftungsöffnungen entstand fand er genial. 
Wir können dem nur zustimmen und finden das Bild unterstreicht den musikalischen Ausflug von THNTS.

Benjamin told us that he remembers the day the picture was taken. 
At sweltering cold, three of them went across the terrain in search of the right angle, the right setting and hidden details.  
Shortly after a pyroaction, Benjamin pressed the trigger. 
He found the effect of the fog and the small round ventilation openings ingenious. 
We can only agree and find the picture underlines the musical excursion of THNTS.

Entering a new decade, we are unveiling a contribution that holds very dear to us. Recently colaborating with our previous guest Viels, on an immersive four tracker EP out of the End of Perception label, Michal Wolski is the other half of Funfte Strasse project alongside Blazej Malinowski. 

Currently one of the most recognizable and experienced figures on the Polish scene, a musician, composer, journalist, publisher and producer, focused on deep, detailed techno, ambient and experimental music. Released with many internationally recognized record labels such as Nonplus Records, Eerie Records, Semantica, Technosoul, Recognition Records, Blank Slate Records, International Day Off, Lost In Ether, Silent Season and others. Founder of the Minicromusic Records, a label dedicated to techno music with an emphasis on its atmospheric variations. Founder and curator of a series of cultural events dedicated to experimental music known as "Laboratorium”.

Wolski creates solo as well as in collaborative projects such as Half of the Mech duo with Fischerle, which is focused on dub techno transformations. In his artistic work he uses various experimental techniques, including modular synthesizers.

Needless to say that he presented his music not only on the main stages of Polish clubs and festivals, but also abroad. He also took part of countless cultural events in music clubs and cultural institutions.

That been said, there is a highly skilled and experienced artist in front of us. Enjoy the second part of Funfte Strasse!

Archaic Podcast 293 - Facundo Fernandez

New Year kicks off for MindTrip with the 4th edition of our Mutable Minds series. This time label boss Pfirter selected 4 different yet unique and powerful tracks from new comers as well as already established artists on the label.

The VA starts with SRIE's label heads, Translate & Pulso, from Buenos Aires who worked together on dissecting compositions down to sparse rhythmic explorations, disruptive power shifts and nebulous bass bliss embodied in one track called Moriarty. Next comes Kike Pravda, the well-known Spanish DJ, producer and Senoid Recordings' owner, with his signature modular and bass heavy sound on Heat.

Nørbak introduced himself to the MindTrip world with his exclusive mix on MindTrip Podcast episode 38 and now he returns on this VA with his tune Avadhuta. Melbourne-based Vohkinne is on closing duties for this VA with his track Active Radio, a pure straighter dancefloor fare.

This mixture of great musicians from all over the world, combining the sound of electronic music, is making Mutable Minds IV so unique. Take a close listen.

TO MECHANICS!
(Mechanics and Drivers!)

I.
Mechanics cannot die because it has no soul. To a mechanic the paradox is incomprehensible because it transcends the laws of mechanics. The paradox is a leap from mechanics into life. The paradox is alive as electricity. Electricity is not mechanical. SO LET’S NOT BE MECHANICAL BUT RATHER ELECTRICAL.

II.
Contact between electric wires creates a spark. Contact between young people also creates a spark. It is an electric flame. To the mechanic it is dangerous for it makes a short circuit that burns through mechanisms. The short circuit burns through mechanisms. We are coming to destroy mechanisms. Man-machine will be destroyed. Hang a placard: MAN-MACHINE will be destroyed!

III.
Lightning rods serve no purpose. Lightning must ignite the soul. Let it strike, set the soul aflame! We must destroy all mechanisms. We’ve declared war on all mechanisms! This is the first proclamation of war in the state of SCS. It was enacted in Slovenia. FIGHT ALL MECHANISMS!

IV.
Dawn is breaking! Can you feel the shimmer? No more peoples or nations, no more humanity. One Man stands at the center of the world, just one Man crowned with white thorns. And above him humanity’s silver halo. (Was it a storm, death itself?) Only one Man, and everyone standing around him are just his different faces. (Is he a miner, tanner, dockhand, peasant, functionary, writer, scholar or beggar? I can’t tell. Is he a Slovene, German, Russian or Frenchman? I don’t know. All I know is I am terribly fond of this Man, whoever he is, whatever he is.) I don’t know who he is, what he is, for me it is enough to know only this: I LOVE HIM!

V.
New humanity is rising. What if it comes from the depths? IT WAS HUMILIATED. What if it comes from the abyss? IT WAS DESECRATED! What if it comes with thunder and lightning? IT WAS SUPPRESSED! 
There’s only one thing ... that he is coming, let him come! What if he comes over dead bodies? There’s life force within him. A force that defies death.
Open the windows! Wild air enters the room, a new atmo-sphere full of ozone, robust with health! (Ozone from pine trees!)
Open the windows, open the doors: NEW MAN IS COMING. All mechanisms must die! New Man is coming!
Bow to his suffering, kneel to his humiliation, greet his force. (All suffering was for him — joy, humiliation — glorification, force — resurrection.)
