"Prose of a Con" is a series of essays and poets by Russell Wardlow, who currently resides at the Omaha Correctional Facility in Nebraska. The series highlights the ways in which prison residents find inspiration and strength while incarcerated. I spoke with "Prose of a Con"'s outside half Katie Andrews, a lifelong friend of Wardlow's, who transcribes and uploads his writings to the series' blog. When Wardlow came in contact with a member of Give a Beat, they decided to turn "Prose . . ." into a radio series.
