Born and raised in Amsterdam, MC PPHOLL has been dedicated to and involved in house music since 1987 and started to host & toast at parties  festivals and radioshows in 1997.
His musical background of reggae&dub you can still find back in the minimal, dubby type of mc he has become over the years.
No ego-tripping, useless shouting, sit downs or crowd hyping, but musical lyrical additions & support to the dj, that is what PPHOLL contributes to the line-up.

In the early years the support from mc Marxman (Mustard), Eelko Anceaux (Chemistry) and Mick Boskamp (ID&T radio) gave him the opportunity to make a solid start of a long lasting mc career.
MC PPHOLL is well known for his Amsterdam residencies Chemistry@Escape, TimeMachine@Melkweg and Earth@Paradiso.
Besides those he performed in almost every quality club nationwide as well as abroad in countries such as Mexico, Russia, Ukraine, Scotland, UK, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Spain and France.
MC PPHOLL also has been hosting (main)stages at leading festivals and events such as Tomorrowland, A Day At The Park, Awakenings, Mysteryland, Lowlands, Dancevalley, Extrema Outdoor, I Love Techno and Loveparade.

MC PPHOLL has been on stage with the majority of dutch and international top dj's in various styles of house music.

Qi (Vital Life Force / Energy) Mono (Thing / Physical Object). Born from Polish immigrant parents in Chicago, Roman got his start in music by imitating fart noises his brother made using the armpit and mouth. After much experimentation and success in the classroom with these sounds, he eventually progressed to become one of the founding members of the musical group, "The Retarded Jellybeans" in junior high school. The group was named after the jellybeans that you can get for bulk discount prices because they were rejected due to their misshapen (is that really how you spell that?) appearance but taste just as good as the full-priced ones. The band never achieved commercial success because none of the members knew how to play any musical instruments, though the vision to put something good into the world remained. Roman spent lots of his parents hard earned money on instruments in tutors, dabbling in the drums, cello, guitar, bass, harmonica, flute, spoons (in his later years he would discover his true calling: the rubber chicken). Anyway, back to the bio. 

Eventually, at the age of 15, he purchased a set of dope-ass Technic 1200MK2 turntables from one of his brother's best friends, Remy. He started spinning with little success because beatmatching is hard, especially on vinyl, and even more so when you're a horny, pimply-faced, bored socially awkward teenager. 

Roman thrived in the underground Chicago electronic scene, often getting compliments like "nice dance moves" after exiting the dance floor, feeling naked and seen while rolling on pressed pills and then regretting having taken said pressed pills when they were wearing off and the sun was coming through the blinds and he could hear his mom making breakfast on Sunday morning, paranoid that she would find out that he was doing drugs and thinking about the fact that maybe he was a bad child. But he wasn't a bad child, because there is no such thing as bad children. 

In time, he would get slightly better at beatmatching and go on to live around the world, playing in S. Korea, Tokyo, a residency at the infamous Purple 33 in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, and other impressive festivals and places and stuff, very impressive stuff really. Really good stuff, very impressive. 

Anyway, enough about him. How are you doing? Good I hope. But you can't be good all the time, that's too much pressure, don't do that to yourself. But remember to breath into your belly if you can, that shit's important. And floss sometimes, that's important too.

Oh, also his dad was a superhero and helped with the fall of the Berlin wall, so you're welcome I guess? Ok thanks bye.
