We should have seen these signs some years ago

Solipsism Syndrome

Recorded live on a scorcher inside a very steamy club 15 years ago to the day! The band Lavender featured Glass Island's Wojciech Pielużek and Krzysztof Tułecki as well as drummer Tomasz Trojnar and keyboard player Jan Madej. This King Crimson cover was the final encore at this gig and while we were young musicians still working on their chops at that point, you can hear the dedication (and the litres of sweat!) in this performance.

A boy was lying on the beach
To relax for a day
The tiny waves caress his feet
In a steady rhythmic way

Above him, thundering clouds loom

But in the distance, in the sea
He hears a special call

And suddenly,  from the brine
A great big humpback leaps
The boy knows just what to do
Climbs on his back to reach the deep

Underneath the deep blue waves
The boy rides on the whale
And even though there is no air
His lungs, they do not fail

Schools of fish and lumps of coral
As far as he can see
The calming sound of his baleen friend

The thunderstorm raging above
Rings clearly down below
The whale can sense the boy's distress
And flips his tail and down they go

Seeing creatures all around

Indescribables abound

When he sees a swarm of krill
