Realizing Servitude

The fullness of faith can only be experienced through love; and a healthy expression of love requires a sound human nature (fitra). This Khutba focuses on the emphasis of love for one another as a natural extension of our faith and our love for God and His Messenger ﷺ.

The dua mentioned at the end of Khutba is:
اللهم أعنّي على ذكرك وشكرك وحسن عبادتك
Transliteration: Allāhumma aʿinnī ʿalā dhikrika wa shukrika wa ḥusni ʿibādatik
Translation: 'O Allah assist me in Your remembrance, thankfulness to You, and excellence in Your worship.'

The Muslim Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto engages Muslim youth by providing an inclusive space for them to foster a meaningful Muslim identity, enriched and supported by quality educational and counseling services.

Our vision for a Muslim chaplaincy is to have an organization that facilitates quality educational, social, and spiritual services to support Muslim youth on a campus setting.

We envision that a Muslim chaplaincy will have a very positive impact on the course of Islamic leadership in North America. By having access to a wave of committed, well educated, balanced, nurturing, and culturally relevant role models, young Muslims will no longer feel at a loss when they face challenges of faith and identity. Rather, the chaplaincy will be a presence that inspires confidence and healthy spiritual development in Muslim youth.
